This is a whole-year numeracy assessment guide for years Prep through to Year 3. Each year level is colour coded differently and is structured accordingly. Each assessment measurement tool/data collection is listed along with its assessment purpose, whether it is formative or summative.
This numeracy assessment guide was created during a meeting, which consisted of all teachers that made up the year levels of Prep through to Year 3. Each year level team discussed the appropriate assessment purpose and measurement tool/data collection required. This meeting took place at the beginning of the school year and since then has been strictly followed to ensure organization and consistency.
Throughout my time within the Foundation classroom and following this numeracy assessment guide, my mentor teacher and I have found this guide helpful to stay on track and remain organized with assessment for each individual student.
